PLANO, Texas (July 22, 2025) – The 2026 Toyota Tundra is set to level up its game with an array of exciting updates and enhancements designed to elevate style and the driving experience. With a perfect blend of rugged capability, luxurious comfort, and advanced technology, the Tundra continues to be a top choice for drivers seeking versatility and performance.

Luxurious Interior Updates
The Capstone grade now offers a revamped interior with Shale Premium Textured leather-trimmed seats, providing an upscale touch to the cabin. The Limited grade will transition to leather-trimmed seats in both black and grey, showcasing a new pattern with black leather seat surfaces featuring white stitching and grey leather seat surfaces adorned with black stitching.

Enhanced Packages and Features
The TRD Pro can now be ordered with optional ISO Dynamic seats, similar to those found in the Tacoma TRD Pro, enhancing comfort for off-road enthusiasts. Additionally, power running boards will be available on Platinum and 1794 TRD Off-Road Package models, providing added convenience. The SX Package will now come with a 20” wheel.

Comfort and Climate Control
To enhance rear passenger comfort, double cab models will now feature air vents on the rear center console and all grades with single-zone climate control will now get the smartflow management system.

Larger Tank
All Tundra models will be equipped with a 32.2-gallon fuel tank, eliminating the smaller gas tank option. A tow hitch and 7/4 pin connector will now be standard on all models, including the SR grade.

TRD PRO Color
All-New for 2026 model year is the color Wave Maker, which is only available on TRD Pro grades.

Performance Options
The Tundra delivers impressive performance with two powertrain options: a twin-turbo V6 i-FORCE engine producing 389 hp and 479 lb.-ft. of torque, and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid, which combines the same engine with a motor generator to generate 437 hp and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. Both pair with a 10-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECTi), featuring sequential shift mode, uphill/downhill shift logic, and TOW/HAUL modes. The hybrid system adds electric assist, EV driving, energy regeneration, and smooth start-up through components integrated between the engine and transmission.

Trail Mastery
Tundra TRD Pro models and those with the TRD Off-Road package come standard with a suite of off-road upgrades for enhanced trail performance. Features include Multi-Terrain Select for optimized wheel spin control, Crawl Control for maintaining steady low-speed progress, and Downhill Assist Control for safer descents. An electronically locking rear differential boosts traction in 4WD Low, while the Multi-Terrain Monitor provides front, rear, and side camera views to help spot obstacles, all accessible via a console-mounted button.

Texas-Assembled
The Toyota Tundra is assembled exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas in San Antonio, where “technical muscle” guided its design—blending modern capability with an outdoor-ready spirit. High-strength steel in the chassis boosts rigidity, while aluminum reduces weight in key areas. A front cross member enhances steering feel, and hydraulic cab mounts (on Limited and above) improve ride comfort. The lightweight, durable bed is built from sheet-molded compound (SMC) with aluminum reinforcements, offering superior resistance to dents and rust. All models include a power release tailgate, with an optional power close feature and knee-lift assist.

TSS 2.5 Standard on All Tundras
Tundra models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 on every grade. This advanced system includes:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/ SA)
- Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
- Road Sign Assist (RSA)
- Automatic High Beams (AHB)

The Tundra offers a range of convenience and safety features, including available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, which can help prevent collisions with stationary objects. Automatic High Beams adjust based on surrounding traffic, while Road Sign Assist (RSA) uses a forward-facing camera to display recognized road signs on the Multi-Information Display. Standard across all models, the Rear Seat Reminder alerts the driver with a message and chimes if a rear door was opened shortly before or during the drive, helping ensure nothing is left behind.

Toyota Audio Multimedia
The third-generation Tundra features Toyota’s Audio Multimedia system, developed by the Texas-based Connected Technologies team, offering advanced interaction through a Human Machine Interface (HMI) with sight, touch, and voice controls. It comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen or an available 14-inch display, both offering crisp visuals and smartphone-like responsiveness, including pinch and zoom. A large, glove-friendly volume dial remains for easy use. The system includes wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, and voice control is activated with phrases like “Hey Toyota,” enabling natural, conversational interactions with the vehicle.

*4G Network dependent. 1-year trial of Drive Connect included on all grades with the 14-in. Toyota Audio Multimedia System

Limited Warranty and ToyotaCare
The Toyota Tundra is backed by a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty covering all components except wear and maintenance items. It also includes a 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 60-month corrosion warranty with no mileage limit. Additionally, every Tundra comes with ToyotaCare, which provides factory-scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.
