It all adds up to another strong chapter in Frontier's six-plus decades of proven leadership as the right-sized pickup for work in the city or adventures in the great outdoors.

* HARDBODY: '80S VIBES, TODAY'S TECH
The design of Frontier's new Hardbody Edition package will be immediately familiar to anyone who remembers the original Nissan Hardbody truck of the 1980s. The new edition artfully revives the styling cues that made Hardbody an icon nearly four decades ago.
The Hardbody Edition starts with the well-equipped Crew Cab SV 4x4 and features three-spoke, heritage-styled 17-inch alloy wheels that closely replicate the look of those on the original truck, shod in all-terrain tires. An aluminum skid plate, black over-fenders, a black side rail, mud flaps and a bed-mounted sport bar contribute to the retro-rugged look. Just like its '80s namesake, the Hardbody Edition wears black-painted bumpers, mirrors, door handles and grille. Completing the package, the truck wears black graphics that deliver throwback cool, with a large "4x4" logo on the front doors and a tailgate graphic that features a cut-out "Nissan" logo, replacing the truck's typical Nissan tailgate emblem.
* PREMIUM EQUIPMENT FOR WORK AND PLAY
Also new for the 2024 model year, Frontier Crew Cab adds an SL grade that's ideal for the buyer seeking more comfort and convenience from their truck. Replacing the outgoing SV Premium Package, it bundles sought-after features that include the convenience of LED headlights, fog lights, daytime running lights and interior lighting; leather-appointed seating with heated front seats; 120-volt power outlets in the bed and rear center console; and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. Additional features include a power tilt and slide sunroof, spray-in bedliner, Utili-Track™ System with two adjustable tie-down cleats, remote engine start[4], and dual-zone automatic climate control.
* A SOLID FOUNDATION
The 2024 Nissan Frontier has a strong foundation that helps it live up to customer demands. Capable performance comes from a standard 310-horsepower, 3.8-liter direct-injection V6 engine, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Coupled with the truck's tough, fully boxed ladder frame, the powertrain helps enable a towing capacity of up to 6,640 pounds[5].
Frontier is available with four-wheel drive to help provide additional traction on almost all surfaces. An electronic, shift-on-the-fly system allows drivers to easily switch between 2WD, 4HI and 4LO modes. 4x4 models also benefit from a steel front skid plate, front tow hooks (one only on S grade 4x4), Hill Descent Control and a 4-wheel limited-slip system, which helps transfer power to the drive wheels with more grip on low-traction surfaces.
The PRO-X and PRO-4X grades build upon that solid foundation with targeted, off-road-ready enhancements like Bilstein off-road shock absorbers and 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. The PRO-4X also features an electronic locking rear differential and additional underbody skid plates for extra protection from rocks and other obstacles. Visual differentiation includes Lava Red accents on the tow hooks, wheel caps, door panels, instrument panel, console, seats and available leather-appointed seats; LED headlights, fog lights and daytime running lights; bold bedside decals; unique floor mats and unique stitching throughout the cab.
* THOUGHTFUL TECHNOLOGY
Frontier keeps drivers informed, entertained and connected with convenient technology and advanced driver assistance features. It starts with a 7-inch Drive-Assist Display and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen; a 9-inch infotainment screen is available. Both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are included as standard for convenient smartphone connectivity, with wireless Apple CarPlay® included on the PRO-grade models[6]. A wireless device charging pad also helps keep phones charged without cables on the PRO-grade models.
Other available technology includes a Fender® premium audio system with 10 speakers, Intelligent Around View® Monitor (PRO-4X models add an Off-Road Mode) and a Wi-Fi Hotspot.
For 2024, available NissanConnect® Services now includes a three-year trial (up from a six-month trial previously). The telematics feature is standard on PRO-X and PRO-4X, and works with the MyNISSAN smartphone app. On equipped vehicles, features include remote door lock/unlock, remote engine start/stop, vehicle health report, emergency calling and Nissan Skill for Amazon Alexa®[7].
The 2024 Frontier provides added peace of mind with standard Intelligent Forward Collision Warning[8] and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection on every grade. In addition, Frontier is available with Nissan Safety Shield® 360, adding features including Lane Departure Warning[9], Blind Spot Warning[10], Rear Cross Traffic Alert[11] and Rear Automatic Braking[12]. Intelligent Cruise Control[13] is also available.
