Honoring the Original
For 2026, the Lexus LS 500 returns exclusively as the LS 500 AWD Heritage Edition, limited to just 250 units. Its exterior debuts a new Ninety Noir color—a deep, sophisticated black paired with dark trim and 20-inch split-20-spoke alloy wheels in Dark Gray Metallic, combining elegance with a quieter, more refined ride.
Inside, the LS introduces a first-ever Rioja Red interior, highlighted by an etched Heritage Edition emblem on the console and embroidered silhouettes on the headrests, underscoring its exclusivity.
Standard features include a panoramic glass roof, Panoramic View Monitor, refreshed Laser Special Black wood trim, and Ultrasuede® headliner and visors. Luxury touches extend to heated rear seats, a power lift-up buckle, a Mark Levinson® 23-speaker 2,400-watt sound system, and standard Advanced Park technology.
Impressive Power
The 3.4-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine on the LS 500 offers the output one would expect in a flagship sedan: 416 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine features a lip shape on the piston top to help realize low emissions and quiet operation when the engine is cold. The wastegate control on the twin-turbo engine provides stable opening and closing of the valve to enhance performance efficiency. The 10-speed automatic transmission aids in keeping the engine in a more responsive area of its power band.
The LS 500 can deliver a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds. The driver can tailor powertrain response and feel by choosing from Eco, Comfort, Normal, Custom, Sport S, or Sport S+ modes. The AWD system features a Torsen® limited-slip center differential to further enhance grip, traction, and cornering stability.
Technology and Convenience Features
Lexus Interface with standard 12.3-inch touchscreen
A standard 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen offers intuitive controls and clear visuals for both driver and passenger. Its glass surface features a high-adhesion, anti-reflective coating for a vivid display, with smartphone-style menu operation for easy use.
Cloud Navigation*
With an active Drive Connect trial or subscription, the cloud-based system uses Google Points of Interest (POI) data for faster, more accurate searches and real-time route updates based on traffic. Its offline mode automatically downloads maps and services when a signal loss is detected.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0
A key to the LS’s success is its reliable safety technology. The LS 500 comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes advanced features such as the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Road Sign Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic High Beams, Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, and Proactive Driving Assist.
Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection– This system helps detect vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, or motorcyclists and provides audio/visual collision warnings in certain situations. If the driver doesn’t respond, it can automatically apply emergency braking. Using both a camera and millimeter-wave radar, PCS enhances detection accuracy and reliability.
LSS+ 3.0 features include:
* Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist: Adds steering torque during emergency maneuvers to improve stability and help prevent lane departure. It functions when PCS is on, turn signals are off, vehicle speed is 25–50 mph, and relative speed to the detected object is 25–50 mph.
* Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking: Warns the driver and can apply automatic braking if a left turn is made in front of an oncoming vehicle under certain daytime conditions.
Full-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) – Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control helps maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you, from highway speeds down to a full stop.
Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) – When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is active and lane markers are visible, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses road lines or the vehicle ahead to help keep the LS centered in its lane with active steering assistance.
Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) – If no driver input is detected for a period of time, audible alerts sound to prompt a response. If the driver remains unresponsive, the Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) gradually brings the vehicle to a stop while keeping it in its lane and activating the hazard lights. EDSS operates only on expressways when DRCC and LTA are engaged.
Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/ SA) – When white or yellow lane markings, or certain road edge lines, are detected at speeds above 30 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) provides audio and visual warnings if unintentional lane departure is detected. If the driver doesn’t respond, the system can apply gentle steering corrections to help keep the vehicle in its lane.
Road Sign Assist (RSA) – Road Sign Assist (RSA) uses an intelligent camera to detect speed limit, stop, Do Not Enter, yield, and certain warning signs, displaying the corresponding icon on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) – When conditions are met, Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) uses the vehicle’s camera and radar to provide gentle braking into curves and subtle braking or steering inputs to help maintain distance from vehicles, pedestrians, or bicyclists.
Automatic High Beams – Automatic High Beams can automatically toggle between high and low beams based on the vehicle’s surroundings.
