Now, 25 years later, the Highlander celebrates with a 25th Edition model. Based on the Hybrid Limited AWD, it features a new exterior color, premium specs, and a Hybrid Electric Vehicle powertrain. The 25th Edition offers 20-inch wheels, silver-accented bumpers, and is available in Heavy Metal or Wind Chill Pearl. Inside, it has leather seating for seven in Portobello color, with 25th Edition logos on headrests. The Limited 25th Edition also includes puddle lamps, illuminated door sills, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, JBL® audio system, and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. Only 2,500 units will be made for the U.S.
The 2025 Highlander lineup adds the Heavy Metal color to more models, with hybrid models getting a Beyond Zero badge. Pricing starts at $39,520, with availability in November 2024.
THERE CAN BE MORE THAN ONE

The 2.4-L turbo models come in LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum, with various AWD options. Exterior color choices include options like Midnight Black Metallic, Blueprint, and Heavy Metal, while interior trims range from fabric to leather, with colors like graphite, black, and the exclusive portobello in the Limited 25th Edition.
REMARKABLY HYBRID
The Toyota Highlander HEV pairs a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motor-generators, delivering 243 combined horsepower, an estimated 35 MPG, and a 3,500-pound towing capacity. Its hybrid system optimizes electric motor assistance and gas engine speed for smooth, quiet acceleration, while the AWD system seamlessly switches power to the rear wheels when needed. The battery is conveniently placed under the second-row seats, preserving cargo space. Selectable driving modes include NORMAL, ECO, SPORT, and an EV mode for short, electric-only trips. Regenerative braking and Predictive Efficient Drive (PED) enhance efficiency by capturing energy and analyzing driving habits. As part of Toyota's commitment to carbon neutrality, the 2025 Highlander features the Beyond Zero HEV badge on all hybrid models.
