A few blinks and the Bukit Tinggi Dinner is a year old. This year, the Porsche Club Annual Dinner was held at the Avillion Resort, Port Dickson. Fully-subscribed as usual, the dinner was enriched by the attendance of the club's patron YAB Tun Dr Mahatir Mohamad.

A convoy of Porsches gathered at the Residence of YAB Tun Dr Mahatir Mohamad at about 5.30pm. By 6.00pm the convoy proceeded to Port Dickson, escorting their patron; ushered by the Police Patrol. The convoy had smooth sailing through the city-scapes and once on the freeway, it was pretty much free for all.

At about 7.15pm, the Porsche convoy started reassembling in smaller packs at the gates of the resort at Port Dickson. Within the next quarter hour, much of the Porsches had regrouped and their owners freshen up for the dinner.

The dress code was White Linen and Satin. As the sun begins to set, many were at the cocktail deck sipping and conversing gracefully. By eight, the guests were ushered to the sea-shore where the dinner banquet proceeded.

Food was plenty and the choices were a mix of local and international delicacies. Apart from the gastronomic feast, the audiences were enthralled by the stage performances and live bands.

YAB Tun Dr Mahatir Mohamad gave a warm and light hearted speech midway dinner to the delight of many. Later, many of the club members participated in stage performances and most got away with their acts unscaved. The dinner proceeded till late and every one withdrew to their chalets and homes after.

The following day, a track session was organized at Sepang F1 Circuit. The members took a scenic drive to the circuit enroute Lukut, passing through winding palms and grazing hills. By noon, the track day had ended and the members retreat for the week.
