RESTON, Va., Sept. 24, 2025 – Audi of America announced specs and pricing for the ninth-generation 2026 Audi A6, its upper mid-size luxury sedan. Blending sportiness with comfort, the new A6 refines the premium business class experience. An optional Sport plus package adds S model performance and equipment.

The 2026 A6 debuts with a modern design, improved engine performance, and sharper handling. Inside, it features Audi’s digital stage MMI and customizable lighting for a driver-focused experience.

Overall, the ninth-generation A6 advances the segment by enhancing driver engagement while elevating daily refinement.

Refining a successful formula, balancing performance, and refinement
For 2026, the all-new A6 sedan pairs a revised 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and standard quattro® all-wheel drive. Power is up to 362 hp and 406 lb.-ft. of torque, a gain of 27 hp and 37 lb.-ft., cutting 0–60 mph to 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph.

For the first time, the A6 offers dynamic features once exclusive to the S6. Prestige models include adaptive air suspension with electronic dampers and can be upgraded with a Sport plus package, adding all-wheel steering, a sport differential, and steel sport suspension for sharper handling. Steering updates further enhance responsiveness and feedback.

Noise reduction was also a focus. Sound insulation is up 30% with tighter seals, acoustic glazing, and new bushings that minimize vibration. Optimized transmission gear teeth and foam-lined tires further improve cabin quietness for a smoother, more refined ride.

The 2026 Audi A6 sedan can be upgraded with an optional S line black optic package, offered on Premium Plus and Prestige trims. This package emphasizes sportiness with S line bumpers, gloss black details around the air intakes, side sills, and diffuser, as well as a black Singleframe grille with vertical accents. Anthracite gray Audi rings, black exterior trim, dark chrome tailpipes, and 20-inch 5-arm-peak wheels complete the bold look.

Prestige models gain access to the Sport plus package, which adds S model hardware and design cues. Key features include a steel sport suspension lowered 20mm, quattro sport differential, all-wheel steering, 21-inch twist wheels with summer tires, and red brake calipers. The digital curtain glass spans almost the entire cockpit and allows the interior to either be flooded with light or effectively shaded via six liquid crystal segments forming the basis for various patterns with areas that can be switched on and off to provide full glare protection.

The luggage compartment of the all-new model has a capacity of up to 13.5 cu. ft. with the second-row seats up. Thanks to a generous trunk width of 41.3 inches between the wheel wells, two large suitcases can easily fit side by side. The standard 40:20:40 folding rear seats enable variable loading for items such as ski equipment. Loading and unloading is further facilitated with a powered open/close trunk as standard.

For even sharper handling, the optional quattro sport differential in the Sport plus package actively directs torque between the rear wheels, countering understeer and boosting agility for a more precise, rear-biased driving feel.

A highly connected control system with brake torque vectoring
The new Audi A6 features a highly connected control system that seamlessly integrates suspension, braking, and engine management for sharper performance.
