PLANO, Texas (Sep. 26, 2025) – The Lexus LX continues to elevate luxury with its commanding power, refined agility on the road, and confident capability off-road. For 2026, the flagship SUV receives subtle updates while remaining the brand’s ultimate expression of luxury and performance. This model year introduces an exclusive F SPORT Appearance Package on the LX 700h F SPORT Handling grade, adding distinctive styling with color-keyed bumper accents, black mirror covers, black rear spoiler winglets, and matching running board accents. The 2026 LX will be available in five grades—Premium, F SPORT Handling, Luxury, Ultra Luxury, and Overtrail—each offering a unique balance of style, comfort, and capability.

For a full breakdown of the standard and available features by grade, please see the LX Specifications.

Overtrail Emboldens Off-Road Discovery
The Overtrail grade builds on the LX’s off-road reputation with added equipment and a rugged design. It debuts in the exclusive Earth exterior color¹, with an interior available in Black or Stone Brown semi-aniline leather, Stone Brown stitching, and Black Open Pore wood accents.

Key features include front and rear locking differentials, a 2,400W AC inverter, 33-inch All-Terrain tires, 18-inch wheels, a front skid plate, and a bold appearance package with matte gray and dark chrome details. Offered on the LX 700h in two- or three-row configurations, the Overtrail is designed for confident outdoor exploration.

GA-F Platform
The 2026 LX 600 and 700h ride on the GA-F platform introduced in 2022. For the LX 700h, a three-cross frame supports the hybrid system, with a repositioned spare tire that allows the main battery to sit lower without compromising departure angle or off-road capability. This platform also boosts body rigidity and sharpens on-road handling, key elements of the Lexus Driving Signature.

Redesigned cab mount cushions reduce vibrations by strengthening body-frame joint rigidity, enhancing comfort while preserving durability and noise insulation. Paired with a double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, the LX balances refined ride quality with outstanding off-road and on-road performance.

LX-First Hybrid Powertrain
The LX 700h pairs a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 with a nickel-metal hydride battery and 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission, delivering 457 hp, 583 lb.-ft. of torque, and an EPA-estimated 20 MPG combined. The hybrid system places the battery under the luggage area (two-row) or beneath the third row (three-row), optimizing space while enhancing performance.

This Lexus-first hybrid setup includes both a starter and alternator for added reliability, plus low-range motor assist for precise throttle control in demanding off-road conditions. A waterproof battery tray with integrated sensors ensures safety during water crossings up to 27.5 inches, giving the LX 700h confident capability on- and off-road.

Powering the LX 600
The 3.4-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine (V35A-FTS engine) in the LX 600 produces an output of 409 horsepower and maximum 479 lb.-ft. of torque. The vehicle maintains maximum torque in a wide range up to 3,600 rpm, making it easier to handle not only during on-road driving but also during off-road driving, which can require frequent use in the low-speed range.

10-Speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission
All LX models feature a 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission that combines smooth starts with precise, manual-like acceleration. With closely spaced gear ratios and quick shifts, it delivers a rhythmic drive that aligns with the engine’s sound, while a wide gear range ensures both strong low-speed starts and confident high-speed cruising.

A low first gear provides powerful off-road performance, while an oil pan guard enhances durability by protecting the transmission from underbody impacts on rocky terrain. The result is a refined yet rugged system tuned for both everyday comfort and serious capability.

Uncompromising Performance
Lexus’ flagship SUV continues its tradition of blending luxury, power, and rugged capability in the 2026 LX lineup. Standard on all models, the Torsen® limited-slip locking center differential distributes power evenly 50:50 for added control in low-grip conditions, while dynamically adjusting force between rear wheels during turns and straight-line driving for stability and performance.

Exclusive to the LX 700h Overtrail grade, electronically controlled front and rear locking differentials further enhance traction and wheel stability, giving drivers added confidence when navigating challenging terrain.

Standard Systems Across the 2026 LX Lineup:
i) Active Height Control (AHC) & Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS): Enhances stability, comfort, and ride smoothness across varied terrain.
ii) Multi-Terrain Select (MTS): Offers multiple drive modes in high and low ranges to optimize traction and control.
iii) Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM): Uses four cameras to improve visibility around and beneath the vehicle when off-road.

viii) Drive Mode Select: Allows customization with modes such as Normal, ECO, Comfort, Custom, Sport S, and Sport S+.

Turning Heads On and Off-Road
Guided by the theme of “Dignified Sophistication,” the Lexus LX blends striking aesthetics with purposeful function. A cab-backward stance and stout torso convey strength, while the frameless spindle grille—crafted from seven floating bars—balances seamless design with precision cooling for the twin-turbo engine. L-shaped clearance lamps add depth with their layered lenses, and large side radiator grilles improve both cooling and aerodynamics.

The profile emphasizes unity with a thick horizontal torso, muscular rear arches, and narrowed quarter pillars flowing to the rear. Distinct sculpting along the rocker panels enhances the chiseled look, while full-size spare tires come standard. At the rear, continuous L-shaped tail lamps define the silhouette. Depending on the grade, the LX is offered in seven exterior color options: Eminent White Pearl*, Atomic Silver, Manganese Luster*, Nori Green Pearl, Caviar, Ultra White, and Earth.

Ultra White (exterior) with Circuit Red (interior) are offered as an F SPORT Handling grade exclusive.

Ultra Luxury
The four-seat Ultra Luxury grade elevates the LX with a rear cabin designed for maximum comfort. These VIP-inspired seats enhance stability against lateral forces while surrounding passengers in tailored comfort.
