PLANO, Texas (May 1, 2025) – Toyota introduces the bold 2026 Camry Nightshade Edition, enhancing the sedan's sporty look with Midnight Black Metallic accents, unique 19-inch wheels, and gloss black badging.

Available in Ice Cap, Supersonic Red, and Midnight Black Metallic, the Nightshade features blacked-out details like the grille, mirror caps, door handles, and rear spoiler, adding to the Camry’s sleek, athletic vibe. A new color, Dark Cosmos—a hazy blue—debuts for SE, XLE, and XSE models.

It joins the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE trims, all offered in FWD or AWD. As a hybrid, it offers impressive efficiency, with the LE FWD rated at an estimated 51 MPG combined. The 2026 Camry lineup arrives in Fall 2025, with pricing to be announced later.

Efficient Toyota Hybrid System
The Toyota Camry is now exclusively a hybrid, combining a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS). It delivers 225 net-combined horsepower in FWD models and 232 in AWD. Engineers tuned THS 5 for smooth, natural-feeling acceleration by boosting power from the lithium-ion battery to reduce engine rev spikes during acceleration.

It also features an electronically controlled CVT, optimized to match gear ratios with driver input for a sporty, efficient drive.

Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive
For added confidence, Electronic On-Demand AWD is available on all Camry grades. Integrated with THS 5, it uses a rear electric motor to deliver 232 net-combined horsepower—30 more than the previous mechanical AWD system.

This AWD system automatically adjusts torque between front and rear wheels based on road conditions, enhancing traction, acceleration, and stability, especially on slippery surfaces.

Impressive Ride and Handling
The Camry offers responsive suspension and agile handling for a more thrilling drive. All models use a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension, while SE, Nightshade, and XSE grades get a sport-tuned setup with upgraded shocks and a larger front stabilizer bar for better comfort and control.

An Electronically Controlled Braking system provides precise brake feel, and drivers can choose between NORMAL, ECO, and SPORT modes to match their driving style.

Bold Style
Designed by Toyota’s CALTY studios in California and Michigan, the ninth-generation Camry boasts a sleek, athletic look with a signature hammerhead front and standard LED lighting across all grades.

LE and XLE grades feature a refined style with horizontal grilles (black on LE, dark metallic gray on XLE), 16-inch alloy wheels on LE, and 18-inch machine-finished wheels on XLE. The XLE also includes chrome trim and badging.

SE and XSE grades embrace a sportier design with mesh grilles, side rockers, functional aero elements, and black finishes. The SE rides on 18-inch black wheels, while the XSE upgrades to 19-inch black and smoke gray wheels, plus exclusive design touches like a black trunk garnish and color-matched aero features.

Color options include new Dark Cosmos, Ocean Gem, Supersonic Red, and more. The XSE also offers a two-tone look with a Midnight Black Metallic roof.

Elevated Cabin Experience
The ninth-generation Camry blends craftsmanship with modern design, offering refined materials and distinct interior styles across all grades.

Sport grades (SE, Nightshade, XSE) feature SofTex® or leather-trimmed seats with bold accents, aluminum sport pedals, and leather-wrapped steering wheels with paddle shifters. The XSE adds unique perforation patterns and comes in Black with blue accents or Cockpit Red.

LE and XLE interiors emphasize comfort and elegance. LE features fabric inspired by ocean waves, while XLE debuts a mix of leather and Dinamica® microfiber in Light Gray or Black, with quilted trim on doors and dash.

All grades benefit from improved seat design for added comfort, while heated front seats are standard on XLE and XSE, and optional on LE and SE. XLE and XSE also offer ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and 8-way power seats for both driver and passenger.

XLE and XSE add acoustic glass for a quieter cabin, and convenience features like push-button start, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and available driver memory settings. For the first time in a Camry hybrid, XLE and XSE offer a power panoramic roof with sunshade.

Advanced Technology
For 2026, the Camry features a standard 7-inch digital gauge cluster on LE, SE, and Nightshade grades, while XLE and XSE get a 12.3-inch display and an available 10-inch Head-Up Display.

The Toyota Audio Multimedia System includes a standard 8-inch or available 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, plus a Qi wireless charger. All grades come with five USB ports.

Connectivity includes dual Bluetooth® pairing, Wi-Fi Connect** with 4G hotspot capability, and Drive Connect** with voice-activated Intelligent Assistant ("Hey Toyota") for navigation, media, and climate controls. Over-the-Air updates are supported.

Audio options include HD Radio®, USB, SiriusXM®, and Integrated Streaming for Apple Music® and Amazon Music (with Wi-Fi Connect**). A nine-speaker JBL® Premium Audio system is available on XLE and XSE.

Safety Connect** and Service Connect** trials (5-year minimum) provide emergency assistance, roadside help, collision alerts, and vehicle health reports. A Digital Key is also available on XLE and XSE with the right package and an active Remote Connect** subscription.
