The Most Powerful Panamera: Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid
At Porsche, the Turbo designation signifies peak performance and technological leadership among road-focused models. The blend of efficient combustion engines and electric powertrain delivers powerful drive and exceptional performance.
The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most powerful Panamera ever produced. Its V8 biturbo engine produces 441 kW (599 PS), while the integrated electric motor adds 140 kW (190 PS). The system output has increased by 75 kW (102 PS) to 575 kW (782 PS), and system torque has risen by 150 Nm to 1,000 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 325 km/h, improving by 25 km/h and 0.5 seconds over its predecessor.
The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is also efficient to drive. Its hybrid powertrain offers a greater electric range, faster charging, and more agile responsiveness compared to the previous generation. The high-voltage battery has a capacity of 25.9 kWh, storing 45% more energy, and provides an electric range of up to 88 km (WLTP EAER City). With an increased recuperation output of 88 kW, it drives more efficiently in fully electric mode. The 11 kW on-board AC charger can fully charge the battery in around two hours and 39 minutes at a suitable power source.
Distinctive Design Of The Turbo Models
Porsche emphasizes the Turbo models' top performance with a distinctive rear bumper and front end in the exterior color. The rear features chrome-plated tailpipes in Dark Bronze. The Turbo S E-Hybrid comes standard with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) and yellow brake calipers. Acid Green is also available as a signature E-Hybrid color.
Turbonite, an elegant metallic grey tone, is exclusive to Turbo models. The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid features this color on its front airblades, rear bumper strip, and forged 21-inch Panamera Turbo S center-lock wheels. Inside, Turbonite is used for trim strips, belt straps, center console controls, and the steering wheel. Contrast stitching in Turbonite appears on the seats, door panels, dashboard, and floor mats. The roof lining is fully upholstered in the suede-like Race-Tex.
New Record For The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid
Before its launch, the new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid set a best time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Porsche test driver Lars Kern completed the 20.832-kilometer lap in 7:24.172 minutes, setting the record for the fastest top-class saloon with a combustion and hybrid engine. This broke the previous record by 3.62 seconds. The record lap, driven on 12 July 2024, was in a Panamera equipped with a racing seat and safety cage, but otherwise identical to the series version.
Lars Kern had previously set class records at Nordschleife in 2016 and 2020 with the Panamera, most recently with the Panamera Turbo S. This new time demonstrates the continuous development of the Panamera, as Kern improved his 2020 record by 5.64 seconds with the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
Track Tyres And Carbon Aerokit For The Panamera Turbo Models
The new Panamera's class record showcases its capabilities, largely attributed to the new Carbon Aerokit and specially developed Michelin UHP tires. The Aerokit, available for the Panamera Turbo and Turbo S E-Hybrid sports saloon models, includes carbon airblades, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, optimizing aerodynamic balance for the racetrack. The front spoiler lip eliminates lift on the front axle, and in combination with the Gurney flap on the adaptive 4-way rear spoiler, it generates downforce.
At 200 km/h, the Aerokit improves downforce by 60 kilograms, enabling higher speeds in challenging bends. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, marked with N0, further enhance traction. These tires, sized 275/35 ZR 21 at the front and 325/30 ZR 21 at the rear, were specially developed for the Panamera and dynamic driving situations.
Comprehensive Equipment Range In The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid
Porsche has equipped the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid with the Porsche Active Ride suspension as standard. This advanced chassis, supported by a 400 V high-voltage system, is exclusive to E-Hybrid models. Each shock absorber features an electrically operated hydraulic pump to actively manage rebound and compression, minimizing body movements and maintaining horizontal stability during dynamic driving. This technology allows for overcompensation of pitching and rolling, optimizing traction by adjusting wheel load distribution to the grip level.
Additional features for the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid include all driving dynamics control systems, rear-axle steering, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) with 440 mm front and 380 mm rear brake discs, and a Bose® sound system.
The Most Agile Panamera: Panamera GTS
GTS stands for Gran Turismo Sport, representing Porsche's commitment to sportiness and driving pleasure with high everyday usability. The Panamera GTS exemplifies this with a high-performance chassis, an exclusive SportDesign package, and a sporty, high-quality interior. It is a particularly agile and direct variant of the top-class sports saloon, driven by a powerful V8 biturbo engine delivering 368 kW (500 PS)—20 PS more than its predecessor.
