Subaru of America Inc. has announced pricing for the 2026 Impreza hatchback. The sixth-generation model features refreshed styling, upgraded safety tech, and a standard 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system. The RS trim gets a revised 2.5-liter BOXER® engine with 180 hp, exclusive 18-inch wheels, and unique design accents.
Available in Sport and RS trims, the 2026 Impreza comes only as a 5-door hatchback, emphasizing versatility and sportiness. A new Citron Yellow Pearl paint option and black rear badging are available. The Base trim has been discontinued, and all models come standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The vehicle arrives at retailers this fall.
The Sport trim has a 2.0-liter BOXER® engine producing 152 hp, while the RS gets a 2.5-liter engine with 180 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque for better low-end response. All models include a CVT with 8-speed manual mode and paddle shifters.
Built on the Subaru Global Platform, the 2026 Impreza offers 10% more torsional rigidity, improved body structure, and increased structural adhesive for better ride quality and noise reduction. New for 2026 is Auto Vehicle Shutdown, which turns off the engine after 30 minutes of idling.
All models include the latest EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. New safety features include Emergency Lane Keep Assist on models with Blind-Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, helping avoid collisions when merging at 37–90 mph.
2026 SUBARU IMPREZA SPORT
Starting at \$26,595 MSRP, the 2026 Subaru Impreza Sport comes well-equipped with EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, an 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system with six speakers, SiriusXM (4-month trial), wireless Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™, SI-DRIVE, and Keyless Access with Push-Button Start.
Exterior highlights include 18-inch dark gray alloy wheels, LED fog lights, steering-responsive headlights, and roof crossbar mounting points. Inside, it features black sport cloth with red stitching, dual-zone climate control, Welcome Lighting, a 4.2-inch LCD display, USB-A and USB-C ports, and a 60/40-split rear seat with armrest and cupholders.
A \$1,900 option package adds Blind-Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Emergency Steering, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, the All-Weather Package, and a power moonroof.
2026 SUBARU IMPREZA RS
Returning for 2026, the Subaru Impreza RS starts at \$29,495 MSRP and features a revised 2.5-liter BOXER® engine with a CVT and 8-speed manual mode via paddle shifters.
Building on the Sport trim, the RS adds the All-Weather Package, Blind-Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Steering, and Emergency Lane Keep Assist.
Distinct RS styling includes dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels, black exterior accents, RS badging, and upgraded LED headlights. Inside, it features gunmetal and carbon fiber-style trim, sport seats with red bolsters, RS-branded floormats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, aluminum pedal covers, a wireless phone charger, and rear USB-A and USB-C ports. A retractable cargo cover is also standard.
An available \$2,070 package includes a Harman Kardon® 10-speaker system, power moonroof, and a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar support.
The 2026 Impreza is built in Gunma, Japan, and arrives at retailers this fall.
