PLANO, Texas (June 28, 2024) – Expert tested on the raceway and equipped to conquer the streets, the 2025 Toyota GR Supra has earned a reputation for offering impressive handling and exhilarating driving performance.

The 2025 GR Supra is available in two grades: 3.0 and 3.0 Premium, both available with a manual transmission option or an automatic transmission. GR Supra is powered by an inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine that outputs up to 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft. of torque.

The sports car also continues to offer performance-focused standard equipment across all models, like a double joint-type MacPherson front and multi-link independent rear suspension, sport calibrated electronic power steering, and dual rear exhaust outlets. All models wear high performance Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport tires for maximum grip of the Supra’s Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) platform.

DRIVING PERFORMANCE OF A TRUE SPORTS CAR
The GR Supra offers a thrilling driving experience with its balance of ride quality, powerful acceleration, and agile handling. Its dual-branch exhaust manifold with six ports produces a deep growl at ignition, while the engine is optimized to manage heat and airflow, preventing abnormal combustion. This results in a 10.2:1 compression ratio and high torque at high rpm, achieving 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds for the 8-speed AT and 4.2 seconds for the MT. The 3.0 AT grades have an estimated 23 city/31 highway/26 combined fuel economy, aided by start/stop technology.

Drivers can choose from Normal, Sport, and Individual modes to adjust throttle response, suspension damping, and power steering. Both grades feature Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), which adjusts damping based on driving and road conditions. The 3.0 and 3.0 Premium grades offer a balance between stability and comfort in NORMAL mode, and more agile handling in SPORT mode.

In 2023, the GR Supra's suspension was retuned for a balance of body roll and ride comfort. The electric power steering was also refined for better handling, and all models now come standard with an active rear sport differential.

PREMIUM VIBES INSIDE AND OUT
Inside, drivers enjoy a refined cockpit with the 3.0 grade featuring black soft-touch Alcantara and leather-trimmed sport seats with power adjustment. The 3.0 Premium grade adds luxury with power-adjustable seats available in black leather trim or hazelnut-colored leather trim.

For audio, the 3.0 Premium includes a 12-speaker, 500-watt JBL® Hi-Fi system. The 3.0 grade can upgrade to this system with the Safety & Technology Plus JBL Package. GR 3.0 models with the Safety & Technology package include Toyota Supra Connect.

Exterior color options are Stratosphere* (blue), Absolute Zero (white), Nocturnal (black), and Renaissance Red 2.0. The 2025 GR Supra is expected to arrive this fall with a starting MSRP of $56,250 plus a $1,095 DPH for the GR Supra 3.0 model. The GR Supra 3.0 Premium starts at $59,400 plus DPH (AT or MT).

HANDS ON WITH GR SUPRA MANUAL
In 2023, the Mk V Supra introduced a Manual Transmission option, developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Engineers in Japan, Toyota Motor Europe, and German supplier ZF. This no-cost option is available for the Supra 3.0 and 3.0 Premium models.

The manual gearbox features components tailored to the GR Supra’s 3.0-liter 382-hp straight-six engine, including a new shift lever and the removal of unnecessary elements like the acoustic package to reduce weight. It weighs in at 3,389 pounds and includes a new large-diameter clutch with a reinforced diaphragm spring for high performance. The Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) software prioritizes sporty performance, optimizing engine torque during upshifts and providing rev matching on downshifts. iMT is the default setting but can be switched off in Individual Mode.

The manual shifter's design ensures minimal effort for shifting and engaging reverse gear. The shift knob's weight, shape, and engagement quality are precisely defined. Ergonomics are considered with a 1.7-inch clearance between the shift knob and the control panel due to adjustments in the console unit and drive mode selector position.

TRACTION, STABILITY, AND AGILITY TUNING
The GR Supra MT models have optimized traction and braking systems for manual driving. With the automatic transmission, starting uphill on uneven surfaces (like a partly icy road) is smooth, using second gear to prevent rolling back or wheel slip. However, with the manual gearbox, first gear is required, increasing the risk of wheel spin. To address this, Toyota engineers have tuned the TRAction Control (TRAC) system for smooth operation similar to the automatic model.

The TRAC system is also optimized for the GR Supra’s high engine torque, wide tires, and rear-wheel drive. This tuning ensures an ideal balance of agility and stability when accelerating out of corners, maintaining stability while delivering a sporty driving experience.

To counter "snap-off" oversteer, an Anti-Roll Program (ARP) is used in both MT and AT versions of the GR Supra. This program works with the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) to intervene early and prevent sudden loss of grip when using the car’s high-response suspension setting.

AUDIO, TECHNOLOGY PACKAGES, AND CONNECTED FEATURES
All 2025 GR Supra models feature an 8.8-inch touchscreen display, which can also be controlled via a rotary touch controller. The GR Supra 3.0 grade includes a 205-watt, 10-speaker audio system, while the 3.0 Premium grade comes with a 12-speaker, 500-watt JBL® Premium Audio System.

Wireless Qi charging is standard on the 3.0 grade with a manual transmission and the 3.0 Premium grade. Wireless Apple CarPlay® is available on the 3.0 grade and standard on the 3.0 Premium.

Upgrading the 3.0 grade to the Safety & Technology Package with JBL adds:
