07/18/2024, Ingolstadt - Audi is adding an interesting entry-level variant to the Q4 e-tron series: the multifaceted Audi Q4 35 e-tron costs 45,600 euros, and the Sportback with an elegant rear is 47,600 euros. The all-electric premium model includes comprehensive equipment as standard, offers a range of up to 355 kilometers (Sportback: 365 kilometers), and a DC charging capacity of 145 kW. New in the Q4 e-tron: an integrated app store enables direct access to popular third-party apps such as Spotify or Audible without using a smartphone. The Q4 35 e-tron will be available to order from July this year.
The popular Audi electric car is now more appealing with a wider range of models. The new Q4 35 e-tron, available from July, features a 55 kWh battery, giving it a range of up to 355 kilometers for the SUV and 365 kilometers for the Sportback. It charges quickly: from 10 to 80 percent in 25 minutes at a fast-charging station, and adds up to 125 kilometers (130 for the Sportback) in just ten minutes. It can charge at a maximum of 145 kW. The Q4 35 e-tron accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and has a top speed of 160 km/h. It has a 125 kW (170 hp) rear motor that is both efficient and powerful. The motor features advanced cooling to keep it at the right temperature, using a special design to manage oil and water-cooling.
Optimally networked in an urban environment
Starting in July, the Audi Application Store will be available in the Q4 35 e-tron and other Q4 e-tron models. This store lets drivers access various apps like news, podcasts, sports, games, and entertainment directly through the car’s Multi-Media Interface (MMI), without needing a smartphone. A 25 GB data package for one year is included for free through Cubic Telecom, using the car's external aerial to improve reception and save the smartphone's battery.
The navigation system has been updated to allow for more precise charging planning. Drivers can set a desired battery level for their destination or choose specific charging stations like IONITY. Smartphones can connect to the car via a USB-C cable or wirelessly to display content such as navigation, calls, music, or apps on the MMI touch display.
Additionally, ChatGPT will be integrated into the voice input system for all Q4 e-tron models. This will enhance voice control capabilities, allowing drivers to manage infotainment, navigation, and air conditioning, as well as ask everyday questions. The integration, provided through Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service and Cerence Inc.’s Chat Pro solution, aims to make driving safer by letting drivers use natural language for commands while staying focused on the road.
