The 2005 Formula One season goes full throttle as the Australian Gran Prix went underway. To mark the start of the season, JT Cars Sdn Bhd and Next Classic Sdn Bhd have joined in efforts to promote motorsports and the Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix which hosts the second round of 2005 Formula One.
Witness by Sepang International Circuit Managing Director En. Ahmad Mustafa, the two parties sealed in blank and white the "Smart Partnership" program which emphasises on the promotion and ticket sales of the upcoming Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix.
The ceremony held at the Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam, was attended by the members of the Classic Car Club, sports car owners, JT Cars guests and well as competitors in the support races of the upcoming Grand Prix.
After the signing ceremony and press conference, brunch was provided and immediately followed by the live telecast of the Australian F1 Grand Prix.
The Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix has always been one of the toughest and more competitve circuits on the F1 calender with fast sweeping corners and a track design that promotes overtaking. Being the second leg on the F1 calender, teams become more competitive as many preseason issues would have been ironed out from the first race.
With the new format for qualifying and race day, no one can yet bet on any team's supremacy. The Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix looks set to be a thrilling experience for motorsports fanatics and the whole family.
With the many events lined up alongside raceday, there is something for everybody. The Grand Prix runs from the 18th to the 20th of March 2005.
