NEW YORK, NY, April 16, 2025 – A year after the K4 sedan’s debut and the tease of a bold yellow hatchback, the 2026 K4 Hatchback takes the stage at the 2025 New York Auto Show. Blending the sedan’s premium features with a sportier, more versatile design, it’s built for active lifestyles—offering more cargo space, interior flexibility, and easy urban maneuverability thanks to its shorter length. U.S. launch is expected in late 2025, with standard and GT-Line trims available.

HATCHING A NEW LOOK FOR K4
Building on the bold stance of the K4 sedan, the K4 Hatchback stands out with a sleek floating roof and dynamic, athletic profile reflecting Kia’s “Opposites United” design. Though up to 11 inches shorter than the sedan, it retains class-leading rear legroom and adds extra headroom, with up to 59.3 cu-ft. of cargo space.

Design highlights include vertical LED lights inspired by the EV9, hidden C-pillar door handles, and an exclusive Sparkling Yellow color. GT-Line models up the sporty factor with unique styling cues like a three-spoke steering wheel, paddle shifters, gloss black accents, and 18-inch wheels. GT-Line Turbo adds LED projection headlights, fog lights, a power sunroof, and upgraded brakes.

EFFORTLESS INTEGRATION, ELEVATED COMFORT
Inside, the K4 Hatchback features a nearly 30-inch dual digital display with Kia’s advanced ccNC system. All trims come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. Available upgrades include heated front seats, Harman Kardon audio, and Digital Key 2.0 with Ultra-wideband support.

Digital Features and Services offer OTA updates, streaming, and WiFi via the Kia Connect Store. The “Hey Kia” AI voice assistant adds smart control for vehicle functions, climate, and entertainment, while also handling questions, navigation suggestions, and voice-activated games.

ON THE ROAD
Carried over from the K4 sedan, the K4 Hatchback will come with a standard 2.0-liter engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque, matched with an intelligently variable transmission (IVT).

An available 1.6-liter, turbocharged engine sends 190 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Exclusive to the K4 Hatchback GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo models is a sportier suspension for improved handling over the standard trims.

NEXT LEVEL DRIVER CONVENIENCE
The K4 Hatchback will also offer the Kia ADAS suite, mirroring the sedan with notable systems including standard Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC w/ S&G).

Optional on K4 Hatchback GT-Line Turbo models, Evasive Steering Assist can help avoid obstacles in certain situations when space allows, and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA-2) adds convenience by maintaining distance from other vehicles and keeping the car centered within its lane on certain highways.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) are standard, while Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA-BCA) and Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)22, Surround-View Monitor (SVM) and Parking Distance Warning are available.

ARRIVAL IN THE U.S.
The K4 Hatchback is expected to arrive in late 2025, with pricing, trim details, and EPA-rated fuel economy to be announced closer to its on-sale date.
